Community Service

At Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities (UGMTC), we are committed to serving individuals experiencing homelessness, hunger, and addiction by providing them with the resources and support they need to rebuild their lives. Volunteers fulfilling community service hours play a crucial role in helping us carry out this mission, offering their time, skills, and presence to make a positive impact on those in need.

In order to fulfil community service hours a volunteer needs to do the following before serving at UGMTC.

1. Read the Volunteer Handbook.
2. Read the Community Service Volunteer Policy.
3. Fill out the Community Service Agreement.

Once the Community Service Agreement has been completed, the volunteer can serve meals to fulfill their hours. In order to complete their hours and receive verification, they must do the following:

1. Sign up for shifts using the Opportunity Calendar.
2. Sign in at the computer in the kitchen when you arrive and when you leave.
3. When you need verification for hours, contact volunteer services via email at volunteers@ugmtc.org
