Impactful Volunteers. Radical Hospitality.

Volunteering with the Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities provides the opportunity to reach out to people experiencing homelessness.  You can be a part of our over 4,200 annual individual volunteers, putting in over 180,000 hours of service, helping to make a difference in the lives of our students.

Becoming a volunteer at Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities means that you will be able to attend ongoing training, volunteer appreciation gatherings, and tap into leadership opportunities. Below is a snapshot of what we value in our volunteer engagement. Please see above for our most current volunteer needs.

We Serve others by providing Christ-centered, discipleship-oriented pathways, and programs that restore dignity and wholeness to men, women, and children.

We Help those struggling with homelessness, poverty, and addiction find ways out of bondage and into the fullness of life in Christ.

We Engage children, youth, and families with our school tutoring and one-on-one mentorship programs.

We Educate others by offering a personalized education program, including G.E.D., and job training assistance.

We Activate our community by hosting events throughout the year that educate and increase awareness of issues surrounding homelessness, poverty, and addiction in the Twin Cities.
