Welcome Corporate Volunteers!

Get Your Group Involved

Join us on our mission to change lives! We make it easy for corporate and school groups to make a difference and at the same time learn about Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities, our program, and the people we serve.  To begin, you can Register Here to fill out a group volunteer application.  Businesses and schools have been supporting the Union Gospel Mission since 1902, and without committed volunteers from the community, we wouldn't be able to reach as many people.  Please look below for informatoin on how to partner with us through Serving, Learning and Giving.

Serve

In addition to opportunities like serving meals or folding bed sheets, we offer other ways to engage our community.  Once a quarter, we offer Fine Dining experience in our Chapel.  Choose from serving food prepared in our ktichen, or food catered in.  Our Fine Dining experience is intended to provide a restaurant caliber meal for our community.  To learn more please email, volunteers@ugmtc.org

Small Groups

If your group is 8 or less and you have volunteered with us before, log in and use your invitation code to view our Corporate Group opportunity calendar to find a date and activity that works for you. If you don't remember the invitation code, please email volunteers@ugmtc.org

Large Groups

If your group is more than 8 or you have not volunteered with us before, let’s have a conversation so we better understand what you are looking for with your experience.  Please email volunteer services at volunteers@ugmtc.org

Learn

We invite your business or school group to go deeper in understanding the complexities of poverty, homelessness, and addiction.  Here's some easy ways to get started:

Students Testimonials - Hear first hand how homelesness, poverty, or additiction affected a student and the ways that Union Gospel Mission provides a second chance.

Lunch & Learn - A member of our staff would be happy to come to your business or school to share about homelessness, poverty and addiction. We can also bring one of our students along to share a testimony and take questions from students or employees.

Poverty Education Panel - Interested in holding a panel discussion about poverty, homelessness, or addiction? A chaplain or other staff member would be happy to help break myths about these important issues and help your group take the next step.

Please email volunteers@ugmtc.org to get more information on how to schedule these opportunities

Give

Your help is needed to pay for the various ministries of the Union Gospel Mission.  Here are some ways you can provide financially while also engaging with the students and guests who benefit from your generosity.

Item Drives - Just like at your own home, the Mission needs to replenish supplies.  When your company, school, church or group helps us restock the items at the Mission, you are providing hope to people in need.  We take diapers/wipes, socks/underwewar, toiletries, metro-transit passes, new or gently used clothes, single serve snacks, make up/haircare and cleaning supplies.

Corporate Giving Campaigns - Many companies donate to organizations where their employees volunteer.  Consider checking with your work to see if they have a giving program for employees.

Pro Bono Services - Do you have a particular skill that would benefit our students?  We would love to have you volunteer to directly serve our community.  Exampes of this could be legal help, health care, clinical counseling, etc.

Please email volunteers@ugmtc.org to get more information on how to schedule these opportunities
